ePlus Selected by Main Line Health for Secondary Data Center and Disaster Recovery

HERNDON, VA - July 2, 2013 - ePlus inc. (NASDAQ NGS: PLUS - news) today announced that its subsidiary, ePlus Technology, inc., was selected by Main Line Health to assist with the implementation of certain network infrastructure to support a new disaster recovery and business continuity data center.  Having previously assisted Main Line with its primary data center, the five-hospital health system is again working with ePlus to fulfill an IT requirement that is fundamental to ensure patient safety.
The health system chose ePlus on the secondary data center because of ePlus' industry expertise, in-depth knowledge of Main Line's specific needs, proven professional services competencies (including data network design, installation, and integration), and strategic partnerships as a Cisco Gold Certified Partner, HP Specialist Partner, VMware Premier Solutions Provider, and Emerson Network Power's 2012 U.S. Solution Provider of the Year.
"Working closely with ePlus enhances our ability to fulfill our mission of delivering a superior patient experience," said Karen Thomas, senior vice president and CIO of Main Line Health.  "Main Line takes pride in our IT investments that allow us to provide high quality care and safety-as evident by our recent recognition in Hospital and Health Network's Most Wired for 2012 and Health Imaging & IT's Top 25 Connected Healthcare Facilities.  With our primary and secondary data centers, we have a solid infrastructure in place to ensure the availability of our patient critical systems.  In addition, the secondary data center infrastructure is instrumental in helping us support future Main Line Health facilities, including Lankenau Medical Center's new building and Exton Center Mall."

"We're pleased to continue our successful relationship with Main Line Health," said Mark Marron, president of ePlus Technology.  "With its primary and secondary data centers in place, Main Line benefits from full redundancy and failover, high availability of patient critical systems, enhanced data center flexibility and scalability, and secure and remote access to clinical records-all supporting Main Line's commitment to exemplary patient care."

The data center solution from ePlus included Cisco Nexus switching; HP racks, enclosures, and Blades; VMware vSphere licensing; and Emerson Network Power (Liebert) racks and power.  In addition, ePlus Professional Services were engaged for hardware, software licensing, and network installation/integration at the new data center location.
