ePlus Participates in Cisco’s Application Centric Infrastructure Launch
HERNDON, VA - December 5, 2013 - ePlus inc. (NASDAQ NGS: PLUS - news) today announced that its subsidiary, ePlus Technology, inc., was one of four partners invited to the launch of Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI). Cisco's ACI introduces a new way for Cisco partners to become relevant to their customers, moving beyond conversations at the customer network or compute level to the application professionals and line-of-business managers.
ACI, according to Cisco, couples innovations in software, hardware systems, and ASICs with a dynamic, application-aware network policy model built around open APIs to accelerate the entire application deployment lifecycle.
"We were honored with the invitation to participate in Cisco's ACI launch," said Mark Melvin, CTO of ePlus. "We have trained 35 of our engineers to design networks leveraging ACI technology, which defines the next era in unified data centers. ePlus has a key differentiator in the marketplace by offering customers an unprecedented level of ability, scalability, and performance. From organizations with very dynamic environments to those with more static environments, Cisco's ACI speeds application and service delivery with enhanced visibility and reduced operational costs."
Through its investments and expertise, ePlus is well positioned to help customers navigate the changes taking place in the data center, including private and hybrid clouds and the upgrade cycles required for migration to the cloud.
