ePlus Cloud Managed Services for Microsoft Azure
- ePlus engaged with the customer in the Assessment Phase to discover the business and technical requirements for the data and application in scope. This included building an economic model as well as understanding application and versioning requirements of components residing in the Hybrid Cloud environment.
- During the Mobilize Phase, migration wave and test planning were created. The AWS account holding the data was provisioned via the ePlus Solution Provider Program (SPP), which simplified billing and AWS consumption.
- The Migration Phase consisted of leveraging the on-premises application with extended scale-out storage available on AWS S3. Data was populated in the secure S3 environment with best practices for Identity and Access Management (IAM) and key management.
- Testing and validation was performed to vet the solution and ensure the durability and scale of the solution
Business Outcomes
- The customer was able to take advantage of the enormous scale and agility of the AWS storage ecosystem and gained the ability to address new workloads and provide multi-region options, allowing for enhanced data protection.
- Data security was achieved through the usage of best practices for Identity and Access Management along with key management for encryption and logging for auditing purposes.
- The customer was able to forego on-premises data center storage refresh costs by leveraging cost-effective tiers of AWS storage such as Infrequent Access (IA).
- Business continuity was enhanced with fast access to data and recovery options.
