ePlus Leasing Enables Major Federal Contractor to Dramatically Increase Sales. By offering the government an option to lease products, a major federal contractor recently increased contract sales on one of its IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) vehicles by more than $75 million.

The contractor did not consider leasing as an option until ePlus suggested the savings and benefits of such a flexible and cost-effective approach. After we explained how leasing creates special advantages for federal government clients, the contractor agreed to offer leasing as an option under its IDIQ vehicle. ePlus developed the initial modification to enable leasing and then assisted the contractor in its negotiations.

In only 12 months—solely through the leasing option—the contractor increased its sales on this one IDIQ contract by more than $75M. According to the contractor, "This additional business absolutely would not have been obtained without leasing. Leasing provided our government customers with a financial tool that allowed them to stretch their procurement dollars, while complying with all rules and regulations."
