Senior Security Engineer

 

DESCRIPTION:

Job Purpose:

  • Employee will act as a Senior Security Engineer to help establish ePlus as a leading provider of Security and Compliance solutions.

Job Responsibilites:

    • Be a subject matter expert on security technologies such as, DLP, IPS, Firewalls, NAC, Endpoint Security, Compliance Automation, Full-disk Encryption that establish ePlus as a leading provider of network security solutions
    • Act as primary regional security pre-sales resource and secondary national resource
    • Perform security and compliance related assessments/demo’s/pen tests with multi-vendor tool sets and deliver results in a way that differentiates ePlus from our competition
    • Certify on all required partner products in order for ePlus to maintain authorizations
    • Create detailed SOW documents and Visio designs for customer acceptance
    • Be able to proactively identify security and compliance opportunities in accounts
    • Conduct regional trainings for sales people and other Security SE’s
    • Act as primary technical contact for vendors is specified region
    • Assess, Design, and Implement enterprise wide security solutions for diverse customer base
    • Attend pre sales engagements with sales for discovery sessions
    • Stay current with emerging technologies as they mature
    • Attend applicable vendor conferences and trainings

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Job Knowledge/Skills:

    • Cohesive experience in the strategy, process and methodology for business enablement and transformation through technology.
    • Extensive knowledge of the following vendor offerings; Cisco, Symantec, McAfee, Juniper, F5, Checkpoint, RSA, Sourcefire, etc
    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance policies like PCI, GLBA, HIPPA, SOX, etc
    • Seasoned in strategy and architecture steering, review, enforcement and documentation.

    • Proven collaboration and consensus-driving with technology teams, business groups and senior executives.
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Confidently articulate the ePlus Security and Compliance value prop 

Education and Experience:

    • CISSP Preferred
    • Multiple current Security Certifications preferred
    • College degree preferred
    • 5+ years of applicable experience with security
    • Proven deployed security audit and implementation projects.
