Outside sales position. Focus on selling ePlus IT solutions (HW, SW and services) to state and local government agencies, K-12 and Higher Ed customers in North & South Carolina, leveraging existing and new statewide contracts as well as previous successful customer engagements. Prefer candidate reside in Raleigh, NC area.
Job Responsibilites:
Identify, contact and meet with the appropriate individuals within the above describe entities to understand their IT initiatives and opportunities and articulate ePlus’ value proposition
Work with Sales Manager to development sales and marketing strategies based on opportunities identified during these meetings
Execute against these strategies to drive new and incremental business
Ongoing account management of existing customer base
Requires extensive phone work and travel within North and South Carolina as necessary to meet objectives

Broad understanding of Information Technology – PCs, laptops, servers, networks, printers, Microsoft Office applications

Education and Experience:
BA/BS
2 or more years of inside or outside sales experience in the IT industry, preferably with a reseller or OEM (such as IBM, HP, Dell, Gateway, Cisco)
Prior experience selling to the public sector a plus
